Vinu sparkles for SUCC (2)

Vinu Prasad’s six-wicket haul (6/126) and a fine collective batting performance helped Swastic Union Cricket Club (2) secure three points based on their first innings lead against Young Lions Club in the KSCA Group I, Division II league match for the MAT Acharya Shield here.

Batting first, Young Lions Club rode on a patient 157-run knock from Shivam Mishra, which included 14 fours and five sixes, to post a total of 391 for nine in 90 overs.

For Swastic Union CC, Vinu Prasad was the wrecker-in-chief, claiming six wickets while Prithvi Raj grabbed two wickets.

In reply, Swastic Union CC registered 395 for eight, to take a four-run first innings lead. While Yuvraj top scored with a 97, Prithvi Raj (50), Arshdeep (51) and Azeem G (78) also slammed half centuries to take Swastic past their rival’s total in 84 overs.
