Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday said vacancies in the commercial taxes department including that of commercial tax officers would be filled.
Siddaramaiah, who reviewed the performance of the commercial taxes department, said KPSC will be entrusted with the task of filling up vacancies. Siddaramaiah, who also holds the finance portfolio, informed the officers that their promotions and career prospects would depend on their performance in meeting budgetary targets.
Siddaramaiah had held review meetings with officials of the excise, stamps and registration and transport departments earlier this week. Such review meeting will now be held every two months.
