JOIN USThe Jnanabharathi police on Wednesday arrested six men in connection with the murder of history sheeter T C Raja last Friday.
The arrested are Dabur Murthy alias Murthy (26), Kiran (24), Basavaraju (26), Nishanth (26), Narendra Babu (24) and Prakash (23). The police, who received information that the assailants were near Hunsur Gate, rushed to the spot and arrested them.
The police said Raja and accused Murthy were close associates. However, differences cropped up between them and Murthy, fearing that Raja might attack him, shifted residence to Magadi Road from Malathhalli.
Murthy, along with his associates, then hatched a plan to eliminate Raja and began tracking his movements. On June 5, on learning that Raja was visiting a private clinic in Malathhalli, waylaid the autorickshaw he was travelling by, and attacked him. Raja died on the spot, the police said.
