'Revise list of unrecognised schools'

Last Updated 10 June 2015, 19:48 IST

The Associated Managements of Primary and Secondary Private Schools Karnataka (KAMS) has asked the Department of Public Instruction to update the list of unrecognised schools it recently published, as a number of schools under the association named in the list have been wrongly listed.

A communique from the association on Wednesday stated that it had been nearly six months since the department updated the list and that due to matters related to the language policy, the government was in the process of providing permission to a number of schools.

Shashi Kumar, general secretary, KAMS, said that almost all the schools under the association had fulfilled the requirements and it was wrong on the part of the department to confuse parents about the schools.
