Actress Sindhu Lokanath is still basking in the glory of ‘Love in Mandya’. She is being flooded with fan mails  and compliments for her performance in the film. Although the film was released a few months ago, the actress confesses that the she says it is still running to full houses.

“We recently visited a couple of theatres in Bengaluru, Mysuru and Mandya and found people walking up to us and telling us how much they enjoyed watching the movie because it had a lot of reality attached to it. The originality of the script and that the performance of the characters  that have won the movie so many followers,” says Sindhu. She points out that after ‘Lifeu Ishtene’, it’s ‘Love in Mandya’ that has brought her a lot of appreciation.

Sindhu has signed ‘Rakshasi’, in which she has an unusual role. About many actors opting to working in the horror genre, Sindhu says that people have always liked horror films but it has failed to win more audience because it has been made rather shabbily. “Horror films that are made here in our country don’t have as much standard as those in Hollywood. It should scare people and not make them laugh,” she states. About her character, Sindhu says, “I am not allowed to talk much about the role but all I can say is that there’s nothing evil or eerie about the role. They are happy ghosts,” she quips.

Sindhu has also signed up for another film with Darshan. “It’s not a full-fledged character. I appear for about 20 minutes in Darshan’s dreams and play an interesting role because my character becomes the reason why Darshan opts to become a cop. Later, I appear with him in a song,” she says. She has also signed up to do another movie titled, ‘60 Days’ with a debutant director. “I am looking forward to working on the project because it’s a whole new team and I am sure there’s a lot that I can learn and unlearn,” adds Sindhu.

Sindhu, who always wanted to work on a dance-based film like ‘ABCD2’, says. “I am a trained dancer but I never get to dance in any of my movies. I’ve learnt power dance and I’ve been wanting to do a movie where I can experiment with some of the dance moves,” she concludes.
