Addressing a news conference, District Khadi Udyog Officer Victor Willis said that the programme will be inaugurated by District-in-Charge Minister J Krishna Palemar while MLA N Yogish Bhat will preside. Zilla Panchayat President K Santhosh Bhandary, Mayor M Shanker Bhat, Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj will be the chief guest of the programme.
He informed that Commission is the nodal agency for the implementation of the Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme and accordingly, beneficiaries under the PMEGP from Kolar, Ramnagar, Bangalore, Uttar Kannada, Davanagere ad other districts will exhibit Khadi, silk textile, handicrafts, pots, cane artifacts, honey, home made food items etc.
