Carlos confident of good show

Last Updated 09 July 2015, 19:42 IST

Roberto Carlos lives for football. In his own words, the master of left-wing confessed how much he still loves “to play, feel the ball, and score.”

So when Delhi Dynamos offered him the additional duty of a marquee player, it was no surprise that the free-kick king grabbed it to become the player-manager for the Indian Super League (ISL) franchise.

The 42-year-old had, who announced retirement three years ago, had also donned the player-coach role during his one season stint with Russian club at Anzhi Makhachkala in 2012. However, his experience as manager has not lived up to his stellar record as a player.

Carlos, however, hoped his vast reservoir of experience would benefit the Delhi Dynamos in ISL. “It's the revolution in Indian football that has made me come here. We have done great things for football in history and for the growth of football we will be there," the World Cup winner told reporters here on Thursday.
