The JD(S) has more or less finalised the process of selection of its candidates for the BBMP polls, said party president H D Kumaraswamy on Saturday.
Kumaraswamy, who has been holding meetings with all the ticket aspirants in the presence of Bengaluru MLAs and other party leaders for the last three days, told the media that except for 10 to 15 wards out of 198, the party had zeroed in on the candidates for the remaining wards.
The names of the candidates will be formally announced on August 6 during a massive public meeting at the National College grounds in the City. All the 198 candidates will up come on the stage and make their testimony before the people of their respective wards.
