Sarvesh Sharma scalped nine wickets in the match to power Herons Cricket Club to an innings and 70 runs victory over Malleswaram Gymnkhana in the under-19 KSCA Group I, Division I, II and III inter-club cricket tournament here.

Batting first, Malleswaram were bowled out for a paltry 58 in 20.5 overs in the first innings, with Sarvesh (5/31) and Shamoun (5/17) doing the damage.

Herons scored 201 runs in 59.4 overs to take a lead of 143 runs. Pranav Bha (91) and Desmond Antony (61) were the leading scorers while Vishal K picked up six for 50.

In the second innings, Sarvesh (4/28) again rose to the occasion as Malleswaram were bowled out for 73 in 19.3 overs.

Abhiram hits double ton

In another match, V Abhiram’s quickfire 205 stood out as Swastic Union Cricket Club (2) drew with Cambridge Cricket Club.

Powered by Sarvesh’s double ton, Swastic Union hit up 468 all out in 82 overs.
In reply, Cambridge CC were all out for 285 in 72.4 overs. Shubhang Hegde claimed six for 99 to trigger Cambridge’s collapse.

Swastic, batting again, were 87 for no loss in their second innings when play ended.

Vultures Cricket Club: 295 all out in 89.2 overs (Anchit Aiyappa 125, Sujith N Gowda 63, Rishi Bopanna 38; Vyshak V 5-78, Kushal Gowda 2-18) drew Mount Joy Cricket Club: 259 all out in 69.5 overs (Kushal Gowda 45, Mukund Balaji 40, Vyshak V 85, Swapnil Y 29; Ruchir Joshi 2-52, Santrupth Chandra 3-56, Abhishek Ahlawat 5-67).
