'There is fun in doing this, I came to kill Hindus,' says captured Pak militant

Last Updated 06 August 2015, 02:16 IST
“I am from Pakistan and my partner was killed in the firing but I escaped. Had I been killed, it would have been Allah’s doing. There is fun in doing this,” said the militant who was nabbed by the security forces.

The militant told the media that he entered the Jammu region along with his accomplice Momin Khan who was killed in retaliatory fire by the BSF. “I came to kill Hindus,” he told reporters in a relaxed posture.

He also said that Kashmiris were being killed all the time. He was smiling before the cameras and he seemed all too amused with the attention he was getting. Sources said the terrorist has said that he was a resident of Faisalabad in Pakistan and that his father’s name is Yusuf Mohammad. “He revealed that he has three siblings. He also kept changing statements about crossing into India from Pakistan. First he said he crossed into India 12 days ago. But he later told investigators that he crossed into India two days ago,” they said. The sources said that he initially told interrogators that he was in his early 20s but later claimed that he was only 16.

“He has been changing his statements. First he identified himself as Kasim then as Naved and later as Usman. He is doing exactly what his handlers have told him across the border,” a senior police officer told Deccan Herald. Ajmal Kasab, a Pakistani terrorist who was nabbed during the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, had at first given out several names before the investigators zeroed in on his real name.
