<p>West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who has ordered a CID probe into the case of a north Bengal journalist who went missing, today said he will not be arrested when he returns.<br /><br /></p>.<p>"Someone can go away on his own," she said to queries by reporters here.<br /><br />"I know everything but I will not say anything," was her cryptic reply to more questions.<br /><br />Chayan Sarkar, a reporter of Bengali daily Uttarbanga Sangbad, has been missing from near his home in Alipurduar town since the morning of August 2 after eight persons named by him in an FIR for issuing threats for writing a college admission bribery story, were arrested.<br />Sarkar's notebook, scooter and purse were found lying in a place.<br /><br />Banerjee had ordered the CID probe on August 3 and had sent IGP, North Bengal, Gyanwant Singh to Alipurduar.<br /><br />The CID had said yesterday that it has some leads on the whereabouts of the missing journalist and rubbished the news of finding the scribe at a Guwahati hotel as "rumours". <br /></p>
