An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) suffered injuries on his right hand after Karnataka Chalavali Vedike president Madhu Gowda and his men attacked him for denying them entry inside the Legislatures' Home (LH) without valid entry passes.

Police said that the ASI, Aradhya, was treated in a nearby hospital. Gowda and his men were booked, arrested and released later on bail.

The incident occurred around 2.45 pm when Gowda and his supporters from Ramanagar reached the LH to meet an MLA . Head constable Nagaraj and his staff stopped the car and demanded them to produce the entry passes, but Gowda and his men told the staff that they did not have any passes. The security staff told them that they could not permit them inside without the entry passes. Gowda claimed that he was a supporter of MLA Narayan Gowda and directed the security staff not to block him.

Upon refusal,  Gowda abused the constable and his men in foul language and parked his car right in front of  of the gate blocking the entry for other vehicles, added the police.
SI Aradhya rushed to the spot and explained Gowda  the guidelines for entry inside the LH. Gowda abused and attacked him. Soon, local police rushed there and took Gowda his men into their custody.
