Choosing roles carefully

Producer Ramu has roped in Telugu director Akula Shiva and Ragini of Veera Madakari fame to play the female lead. “My role is of a normal college guy who does everything to impress his lover. Though my first film Vayu Putra did not do well at the box office, I have definitely learnt a lot from the movie which has helped me face the camera with confidence.

In Gandedhe, my acting is more natural and refined,” says Chiranjeevi who has chopped his long hair to suit the role.

“Gandedhe is a complete family entertainer. It has something to offer to everyone. Director Akula Shiva is a perfectionist and knows what a story needs and when you are working with producer Ramu, there is no compromise on quality. I am enjoying every bit of my shooting and I’m giving my best to the role,” says Chiranjeevi.

Looks like everything is going well with this actor who has finalised a project with director Mahesh Babu. “Offers are aplenty but I have to think twice before taking any decision. I don’t want to get branded or slotted to particular roles, hence keeping my age in mind I decided to select my role sagaciously,” he states.
