<p>With February just two days away, the Government is yet to make arrangements to purchase additional power.<br /><br />Principal Secretary (Energy) K Jairaj on Friday said the demand for power would go up normally from February as summer approaches. <br /><br />“We require additional 7 MU to 8 MU per day. We had floated tenders to purchase between 400 MW and 500 MW of power. But, the CM is yet to take up the matter,” he said. <br /><br />The State had announced that it would purchase power at a cost of Rs 330 crore and ensure uninterrupted power supply between 5 am-7 am and 7 pm- 11 pm during the exam period. <br /></p>
