Tharanisingh takes top honours

 Karthik Tharanisingh clinched the title in the MRF Formula Ford 1600 series in style with a win and a second place on the concluding day of the fifth and final round of the MMSC-FMSCI Indian National Racing Championship here on Sunday.

While Tharanisingh, who was trailing championship leader Goutham Parekh by 12 points earlier, won the first race and finished second in the next to total 193 points.
