<p>Selfies and the art of snapping them is surely going places with universities deciding to start study courses around them.<br /><br /></p>.<p>An Indiana University Northwest communications professor has decided to explore selfies in a 400-level class.<br /><br />Eve Bottando said students would discuss research being done on selfies as well as the questions the pictures raise about our society, 6abc.com reported. <br /><br />Students who have registered for that selfie course are excited to learn more about the popularity of selfies.<br /><br />The University of Southern California has also introduced a course in Selfie, describing the selfie as a "cultural artefact". <br /><br />The #SelfieClass will allow students to critically analyse "society's influence on self-identity, and how selfies reflect and affect the global culture in which we live".<br /><br />University of Southern California, writing professor Mark C. Marino is teaching a course titled '#SelfieClass'. <br /><br />A similar class is also available at University of California-Los Angeles. In the Digital Humanities department, Miriam Posner teaches a course called 'Selfies, Snapchat, and CyberBullies: Coming of Age Online'. <br /></p>
