JOIN USModerate to heavy rains lashed several parts of the State on Wednesday. After a lull, Shivamogga district received moderate to heavy rainfall. Hosanagar, Shivamogga, Sagar, Bhadravathi received heavy rains in the noon and the evening.
Several roads in Shivamogga city were waterlogged disrupting vehicular movement. Rainwater gushed into houses in low-lying areas. Shikaripur, Thirthahalli, Sorab also received good spell of rains.
Sweltering heat
The residents of Belagavi got a relief from sweltering heat with heavy rains lashing the City for a few hours. The showers brought down the mercury levels in the border city.
Bagalkot received drizzles throughout the day. Rains appeared after a break of nearly a week in Uttara Kannada district. Coastal towns such as Bhatkal, Honnavar, Ankola and Karwar received moderate rains. Sirsi, Yallapur and Siddapur had cloudy weather since morning.
