Devdutt powers St Joseph's home

An all-round show from Devdutt BP (7/81 & 39 runs) propelled St Joseph’s Boys’ High School to a four wickets win over Vidyaniketan School in the under-16 Group I, Division II cricket tournament for the KSCA Cup.

Batting first, Vidyaniketan were bowled out for a paltry 71 runs in 39.5 overs.
Devdutt and Ankush (3/11) did the damage for the winners.

In reply, St Joseph’s scored 165/8, with Devdutt making 39 runs.
Devdutt was well supported by Karna AS (35) and Sanil N (37). Shubhange Hegde claimed five wickets for Vidyaniketan.

Trailing by 94 runs, Shubhang again shone with the bat, hitting 108 runs, to take the team’s total to a decent 182 runs in 80.5 overs.

Chasing a target of 88, St Joseph’s batsmen struggled and lost six wickets but eventually managed to reach 89 in 47.1 overs.

Delhi Public School, South: 243 all out in 61.4 overs (Aqib Jawad 40, Mithesh Madhan 81, Rohan Naveen 34, Samarth S 40; Danish Ulla Shariff 2-27, Pavan K Rao 2-45, Bhargav S 3-55).

Rishabh, Vinay shine
Rishabh (4/14) and Vinay (4/20) shared eight wickets between them to spur Innisfree House School to a five-wicket victory over Baldwin Boys’ High School in the Group III, under-16 tournament for KSCA Cup here. 

Batting first, Baldwin were bowled out cheaply for 72 in 26 overs with Rishabh and Vinay doing the damage.

In response, Innisfree House School knocked down the target in 23 overs.
