378 get employment through HRD Centre in DK

Speaking to Deccan Herald, an official at the HRD centre said “after HRD centre came into existence, as many as 2,945 persons have registered their names for employment. 2,630 have undergone skill assesment test till date.”

She said “we also provide skill training which include communication skills to the candidates. A batch with 40 students have completed their training. Now another batch with 40 students will be given training from Monday onwards. The HRD Centre has 39 clients from insurance, IT, marketingm, health, industrial sectors. So far 378 candidates have accepted the job offers and joined the duty.”

“The interviews will be conducted on daily basis. As soon as candidates come to the Centre, we will assess them and if there is any vacancy with our clients, we send them for interview,” official added. Employment Exchange Officer Basavaraju said “there has been a good response from the people. Though the response was slightly low during the year end, it has picked up now.”

The Centre was conceived as an attempt to reorient, revamp and restructure the employment exchanges in the state to make them more relevant and productive. Under the initiative, KVTSDC and TeamLease work towards identifying and implementing developmental initiatives to provide quality employment. The registered candidates are given an unique ID for any future references. The Centre caters to all job seekers like fresh graduates, school drop-outs, 10th / 12th pass outs, ITI graduates, etc.
