The family of Indrani Mukerjea’s first husband has confirmed that Siddhartha Das is the father of Sheena Bora.
However, they said that he has not been in touch with them for the last 10 years. Siddartha is believed to be in Kolkata and married again.
“Neither me nor my family has been in touch with him (Siddhartha) for a long time. He has not kept contacts with us and we do not know where he is now,” Shantanu, younger brother of Siddartha told Deccan Herald over phone from Karimganj in southern Assam. Shantanu stays with his mother Mayarani Das. The family is also upset after being hackled by the media.
On Monday speculations were rife that officers from Mumbai Police were in Karimganj to look for Siddhartha Das, but Karimganj SP Pradip Ranjan Kar informed that no officer from Mumbai Police has contacted him.
