Kadugodi police arrested two Bangladeshi nationals and recovered three counterfeit Indian currency notes of Rs 500 denomination each and Rs 52,000 genuine Indian currency notes.
The suspects are Mufujuddin Sheikh (49) and Dil Hach (32), both from Mehboob Ganj village near Dhaka. They were arrested when the police were detaining a few persons suspected to be involved in unlawful activities, due to the red alert on the occasion of Republic Day. The two confessed that they had circulated a few counterfeit notes at shop and other business establishments.
