The Transport Department on Friday checked 2,000 vehicles and booked 125 of them for various traffic violations. The drive was conducted near Cubbon Park, Forum Mall and Koramangala Silk Board.
Private buses were booked for permit violations and cars for non-payment of taxes and invalid emission certificates.
Apart from this, 30 maxi cabs were seized for ferrying schoolchildren without any safety norms or permits during the drive.
