They also damaged a glass painting of Mother Mary at the entrance of the Canara Organisation for Development and Peace at Padua, near Nanthoor in the city, on Sunday morning.
Fourteen-year-old Mohammed Roshan, who was sleeping inside the orphanage , was injured in the stone-throwing incident.
According to local leaders at Kumpala, “the incidents must have taken place between 2 am and 2.30 am. Three windows have been damaged in Noorul Islam Jumma Masjid, Noorani Jumma Masjid and the orphanage.”
As a precautionary measure, police pickets have been set up near the mosques as well as in other sensitive areas.
