<p> <br />Every year artificial floods in open drains cause lot of inconvenience to the people. <br /><br /> The water level in drains in Kohinoor road, Race course Road, Omkareshwara temple road cross the danger limit during heavy rains. As a precautionary measure, the drains are being cleaned. Few years ago, two lives have been lost when the gushing water washed them away in the drains. <br /><br />TMC President P D Ponnappa said “the work on removing the silt from a drain on Race course road began on Thursday. All the drains will be cleaned before monsoon.”<br /><br />BJP district President M P Sunil Subramani, Madikeri Development Authority President A K Palaksha were present.</p>
