'Tulu movie completed within 22 days, with two cameras'

The ‘Dabak Daba Isa’ team has announced the completion of the shooting of the movie in just 22 days using two cameras in a single schedule.

The Tulu movie, being produced under the banner of Jaya Kirana Films and directed by Prakash Pandeshwar who produced the movie ‘Chali Polilu,’ which was a huge success, has created curiosity in coastalwood.

Addressing media persons here on Tuesday, director Prakash Pandeshwar said that in ‘Dabak Daba Isa’ which is being produced in a budget of Rs 50 lakh, the renowned comedy trio Devadas Kapikad, Naveen D Padil and Aravind Bolar have acted together again. The movie, a family entertainer, has been shot in and around Mangaluru city. The movie gives a good message to society, he said.

Naveen D Padil has played the lead role while Sheetal has acted as heroine for the first time. Dr Hansaraj Alva and senior journalist Manohar Prasad have appeared in guest roles. Sunder Rai Mandara, Laxman Kumar Mallur, Surendra Bantwal, Girish M Shetty Kateel have also acted in the movie, among others. Shashiraj Kavoor has written dialogues and Uthpal V Nayanar has worked as cameraman.

Tamma Laxman has worked as artiste. Music Director Rajesh said that there are four songs in the movie. Nine live instruments have been used for the songs.

Naveen D Padil, who has eight Tulu movies in hand, said that comedy is presented in a different way in the movie. There is nothing called comedy punch, but comedy is along with the screenplay. “We are curious, how people would receive it,” he said.

Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Association President Bala Jagannath Shetty and others were present on the occasion.
