All-round Shubhang spurs Bangalore Zone

An all-round performance by Shubhang Hegde helped Bangalore Zone take home three points in their drawn encounter against Secretary’s XI in the KSCA U-16 inter-zonal tournament here at the RSI ground.

Batting first, Secretary’s XI were restricted to 213 in 69.1 overs with Amod PN (3/38), Shubhang (2/43) and Durgam Bhargav (2/23) returning with impressive figures for Bangalore Zone.

Shubhang then slammed a fine century (128, 202b, 17x4) to power his side to 321 for seven in 90 overs, for a first innings lead of 108 runs. Shubhang then clamied two for 23 to reduce Secretary’s XI for 126 for six, before both the teams shared honours.
