It just turned three months old but its popularity is soaring high. ‘Barbeque Kitchen’ — located in Koramangala 4th block — is a new addition to the long list of eateries in the food hub of the City. As the name suggests, it is a small take-away that serves some exceptionally delicious barbecue items — mostly dishing out freshly barbecued rolls and kebabs.
“It has been three months since we opened, but the response we are getting from people is amazing! We are doing pretty good in terms of concept and food. We are looking into the healthier side of food so every time someone orders something, we grill it right in front of them so that it assures fresh food. Also, we use whole-wheat ‘atta’ to make our rolls, which is healthier. We are planning to open two more outlets soon — focussing on Indiranagar and Church Street,” says Immanuel Rohan, the owner of the eatery.
The live grill concept, the aroma and location are some of the factors that attract people to try out the food here. Their starters include chicken ‘tikka’, chicken ‘kalimirch’, chicken ‘malai tikka’, chicken ‘achari kebab’, ‘tandoori’ prawns and a non-veg platter for meat lovers. Vegetarian can relish on dishes like grilled mushrooms, grilled babycorn, paneer ‘tikka’, ‘tandoori aloo’ and a mix-veg platter, among others.
They also have an array of sandwiches — one can try a simple chicken ‘tikka’
sandwich, a smokey Joe chicken sandwich or a vegetarian grill sandwich and paneer cheese grill sandwich. While vegetarians can try out the ‘aloo tikka roll’ or the paneer mushroom ‘tikka’ roll, chicken lovers can treat their taste buds to popular items like chicken ‘tikka’ roll, which is the spiciest one in the lot.
Or one could even go for a chicken ‘malai kebab’ roll, which is on a more cheesy and milder side.
