Two B'lureans drown at Muthathi

Two youths, who had gone for a swim in Cauvery river, drowned at Muthathi in the taluk on Sunday. The deceased have been identified as Harikrishna (20) and Harshavardhan (15), both residents of Electronic City in Bengaluru.

A 10-member group, including family members and friends, had gone for a picnic to Muthathi on Sunday. It is said Harshavardhan stepped into the water and started sinking. Harikrishna tried to rescue him but both were washed away. The bodies are yet to be retrieved, the jurisdictional Halagur police said.
