BDA site forms sell like hot cakes

In the first phase of allotments, the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has received over 17,310 applications as on Saturday for allotment of 5,000 sites at Kempegowda Layout in Bengaluru. The BDA started issuing applications since November 2.

According to an official release, the BDA has collected over Rs 57 lakh and Rs 2.31 crore through the sale of applications and collection of registration fee.

The maximum demand has been for 20 by 30 and 30 by 40 sites and around 65 per cent of the applications have been sold for these two kind of sites. The demand was also high for sites reserved for backward classes and they sold as many as 3,653 applications.

The BDA had invited application for 5,000 sites in the first phase. Applications were being sold in all nationalised banks across the City and in Mysuru, Hubballi, Dharwad, Davangere and Shivamogga.
