The All India Radio (AIR), Kannada and Telugu, can now be accessed online with the public broadcaster adding the two channels in the list of those being live streamed through its website, allindiaradio.gov.in

“Now, one can enjoy 12 channels through live streaming and can stay connected with the oldest broadcaster of the country from anywhere and at any time of the day across the globe in real time,” the public broadcaster said in a communique.

The AIR, on Thursday, observed “Public Service Broadcasting Day” to commemorate the visit of Mahatma Gandhiji to its studios here.

On November 12, 1947, Mahatma Gandhiji had visited the studios of Akashvani to address the people who were settled in a camp in Kurukshetra, for a brief period of time. This was his first and the only visit to the AIR since its inception.
