D Devaraj Urs Research Centre gets new director

The State government has appointed Professor N V Narasimha as the Director of D Devaraj Urs Research Centre, according to an official press release received here on Tuesday.

Narasimha taught History for the last three decades at the Acharya Pathashala, served twice as a permanent member of the Backward Classes Commission. He has worked for the betterment of the backward classes and played a prominent role in the Ahinda movement, the release said.
