The hard sell for Golden Star Ganesh’s 26th film, ‘Style King’, has begun. The film, says the director PC Shekar, has been made exclusively for Ganesh’s fans.
The director adds that his interactions with Ganesh’s fans on Facebook has helped him make a product that will fulfill their expectations from their icon.
“There were a lot of people who said that they wanted to see Ganesh as an action-romantic hero and we have attempted to portray him that way in ‘Style King,” explains Shekar.
The cast and crew of ‘Style King’ recently launched the lyrics of a teaser song that has been written exclusively around Ganesh and his transformation from a romantic hero to an action star. “The lyrics not only talk about Ganesh as a star but also about his character in ‘Style King’ for it holds a lot of similarities to his life and his career,” he adds.
The director further states that the lyrics of the song were released by Shilpa Ganesh and a few of Ganesh’s fans who were chosen from Facebook. “The release of the lyrics is a part of the promotional activity. There has also been a lot of curiosity surrounding the lyrics and the way it has been worded and tuned,” he explains.
This is the first time that Ganesh will be appearing in a double role and the director has consciously created two contrasting characters. In one look, Ganesh appears as a soft, calm and stylish guy, in the other he’s at his crudest best. “Everybody has two sides to them and the movie brings out both. The film and the newly released lyrics delve into his soft-mannered ways and his crude look,” adds Shekar.
Shilpa Ganesh, who also released the lyrics, says the script of ‘Style King’ came at a time when Ganesh and she were contemplating him doing a full-fledged action film.
