<p>For farmers’ leader and CPM member Maruthi Manpade, it was a tough task to meet Home Minister G Parameshwara at the Vikasa Soudha on Wednesday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Parameshwara, who was in a hurry to leave his office, was blocked by Manpade, who had been waiting to meet the Congress chief for nearly two hours.<br /><br /> Despite repeated appeals to hear his plea, Parameshwara could not spare time for him. He asked Manpade to meet him at the Congress office on Queen’s Road. <br /><br />An irate Manpade shot back at him saying he was not a Congress worker and that he had come to meet him to discuss a murder case. Parameshwara yielded when Manpade’s decibel levels rose, attracting the attention of those in the Soudha corridors.<br /><br />The minister accepted Manpade’s petition, assuring him that he would look into it. Manpade has submitted a petition by the brother of a woman who was allegedly murdered by her in-laws in Kalaburagi.<br /><br /> The brother has alleged police negligence and appealed that the case be reopened.<br /></p>
