<p>BJP leader Subramanian Swamy was on Friday provided with government accommodation in central Delhi on security grounds.<br /><br /></p>.<p>“The government has decided to allot accommodation to former Union minister Subramanian Swamy on security considerations, while allowing former Punjab DGP K P S Gill and chairman of Anti-Terrorism Front M S Bitta to retain government accommodation on the same grounds,” sources said.<br /><br />Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat has been allowed to retain the government accommodation in New Delhi on medical grounds, whereas Prasar Bharati chairman A Surya Prakash would also be provided with government accommodation.<br /><br />These decisions were taken at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Accommodation (CCA), headed by Home Minister Rajnath Singh.<br /><br />Sources said the CCA took into consideration that Swamy is a Z-Category protectee with Central Reserve Police Force cover and there is no place at his present residence for deployment of armed guards.<br /><br />His security is being reviewed from time to time by the Security Categorisation Committee in the Ministry of Home Affairs. </p>
