The High Court on Thursday directed the State government to file a report, in the next hearing, with regard to a petition seeking directions to all private schools to have a display board outside the school premises, mentioning details about the school.

The petitioner, Karnataka Vidyarthigala Poshakara Jagruthi Vedike, had given a representation to the DPI to have a display board mentioning details of the school, including its establishment, recognition, student strength, teachers, management, staff, fee structure and more. Accordingly the DPI issued a circular on April 13, 2015, to display the board, measuring 6X10 feet, on the school compound, providing detailed information of the school.
The petitioner contended that the display board has to be implemented as per the Karna
taka Education (Classification, Regulation and Prescription of Curricula) Rule, 1995.  However, the petitioner, argued that the circular has not been impl-emented by the schools. Justice A S Bopanna adjourned the hearing.
