BDA flats at 3 projects to be ready by Dec

In the second stage of its housing project, the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) will complete construction of flats at Alur, Valagerahalli and Doddabanahalli by December.

N G Gowdaiah, in charge of BDA’s housing projects, told reporters on Friday after a day-long tour of the sites that at Doddabanahalli in the first stage, the BDA executed a 20-floor housing project. As many as 648 flats have been completed under the first stage of the project, said to be one the biggest under any government scheme. Of these,144 three-BHK (bedroom-hall-kitchen) flats have been distributed. Of the 504 2BHK flats, 469 were distributed and applications for the rest have been invited. 

These flats have all essential facilities like rainwater harvesting, water purifying system, garden, parking facility and fire safety measures. 

At another project near Alur, 906 one-BHK flats have already been constructed and work on 2BHK and 3BHK flats has begun. 

In Kengeri at Valagerahalli, the flats are being constructed in five stages and a total of 1,392 one-BHK, 2BHK and 3BHK flats will be constructed. Here, 466 1BHK and 2BHK and 303 3BHK flats have been constructed. Now, 415 3BHK flats are being built and applications for them have also been invited. 

At Valagerahalli, four-storey commercial complexes have already been built on 13 guntas of land. Fifty-four shops are ready and will be rented out or auctioned. A two-storey club house spread across 22.5 guntas and a convention centre have also been constructed.DH News Service
