The Senior Citizens’ Association has demanded an immediate reduction in the fare of Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) and KSRTC buses, saying diesel prices have gone down drastically compared to 2014.
In 2014, a litre of diesel cost Rs 66.79. It has now come down to Rs 46.75, a reduction of Rs 20.
The association made a representation to Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy, chairpersons of BMTC and KSRTC and also the BMTC commissioner in this regard.
