K'taka launches self-certification scheme

The government of Karnataka has finalised and published a voluntary self-certification scheme for industries, which would free them from repeated inspections, according to P B Ramamurthy, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Labour .

At the Annual HR Conference 2016, organised by CII, here on Friday, Ramamurthy said, “Only 30 per cent would come under the purview of random inspection, which would be done under a fully computerised random sampling method. Karnataka would become the first state in the country to introduce such a system.”
