Poura karmikas of 31 wards were provided with identification cards, uniforms, dustbins, gloves, masks and other protective gear under the 18 per cent scheme at the cost of Rs 2 lakh.
Further, about 3,686 family members of the poura karmikas have been insured for Rs 1 lakh each under the Arogya Raksha Scheme at the expense of Rs 4.31 lakh.
CMC vice-president Ramadevi, Sthayi Samithi president Manjunathachari, members Nirmala Prabhu, Bhaskar, and others were present.
