Most designs at ‘Solly’ are made keeping the working woman in mind. “Today’s woman is confident, creative and practical; and has a unique sense of style. Given her hectic routine – multitasking between home and office – she definitely wants a blend of comfort and style that befits her personality,” explains Vandana Gupta, head designer, ‘Solly’ and ‘Allen Solly Junior’.

‘Solly’ has something for every occasion. The ‘Mykonos Collection’ is inspired by the colours and vibe from Mykonos. The colours used in this collection are intense turquoise and indigo against white.

The ‘Sculpted Collection’ is minimalistic and futuristic with patterns that are inspired by technology, architecture and nature.

The garments come in graphic, colour blocked, grid-like formations mixed with mineral, architectural and cosmic patterns. The colours used here revolve around black and white with shades of grey.

The line of garments in ‘Quirkbox’ are a modern, polished, tailored yet feminine take on fashion that extends from the British era to the Bohemian 70s.

“This collection provides inspiration for the more tailored and geometric aspects of the story while the 70s lend it a touch of feminism. Here, the floral prints are rendered in collage-like, quirky forms and linear stencilled art form, drawing inspiration from Picasso’s line drawings,” explains Vandana.

The latest collection also offers one the freedom to mix and match. About the different options, Vandana says, “The smart casual looks work well for Friday dressing. You also have the option of throwing on a stylish blazer with a pair of clean denims and a casual shirt. For business meetings, a well-tailored suit worn with a feminine fluid blouse with a hintof colour could work well.”

The brand also stocks an interesting range of handbags and footwear. Choosing the right kind of accessories strike the perfect balance, feels Vandana. She adds that no outfit is complete with accessories.
