
At a time when the ruling BJP is struggling to contain Patel and Jat agitation for reservation, Union Minister Ramvilas Paswan has reiterated his demand for reservations in private sector.
“All those companies who take money from the government should be made to give reservation to the SC/ST candidates. There should be an affirmative action on the government's part to ensure this," Paswan told media persons in Ahmedabad.
He said it was essential to keep reservation for SC/ST in both government and private sectors as the youth from such communities are forced to take the wrong path in search of jobs.
Linking joblessness to the spurt in naxalism, Paswan said government jobs cannot be available for everyone and it can only create an environment for job creation.
