Richard will come to the City for a performance as part of the Rock In India tour on February 21.  He took sometime off with Metrolife to talk about his first tour to India and his future plans.

Excited about his tour, Richard rues that he won't be able to explore the place enough. “I won’t have any time to get out and see and do things. I have to get back to the US to produce an album for another artiste,” Richard Marx said. He hopes this tour would be the beginning of many more tours to India. “I would love to come here to India every other year or so,” he gushes.

Talking about the show in Bangalore, Richard says he’ll be doing shorter shows than what he usually does. “I’ll be doing several of my hits but at this show there will be predominantly rock songs with only a ballad or two,” he observes.

Richard Marx is best known for his soft ballads and classics. One of the most sought after songwriters  and record producers. Richard Marx had a string of hit singles in the late 1980s and 1990s, including Endless Summer Nights, Right Here Waiting and Hazard.

Although most of his major hit songs were slow ballads, many of his songs such as Don't Mean Nothing, Should've Known Better, Satisfied, and Too Late To Say Goodbye, had a classic rock style feel to it.     He topped the charts as a solo artiste. These songs are steeped in emotion and every song creates a sense of awakening in the listener.
Richard is into production and recording of music in addition to endless performances. “I'm writing and producing music for various artistes. After the shows in India, I’ll begin a new album for a Canadian country music star named George Canyon. I did his last album and it was nominated for album of the year at the Canadian Country Awards,” reveals Richard.

His performance in the City promises to recreate the magic of 1980s and 1990s when Richard's songs were played in every watering hole, restaurants and homes across the City.
