Registration open for KMAT

The Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT), 2016 for admission into150 Karnataka-based B-schools is set to go national for the first time. The test will be held in 10 cities across India this year.

KMAT will be conducted on May 29 in Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow, New Delhi, Noida, Patna and Pune. The registration for the test is open from April 5 till May 10.

KMAT 2016 scores will be accepted by more than 150 AICTE-approved and UGC-affiliated institutes offering MBA, PGDM and MCA programmes in 2016 in Bengaluru and the rest of Karnataka.

 Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA), an association of various management colleges, conducts KMAT. The attempt to project KMAT is a national-level test is aimed at attracting students from all across the country and even abroad, said a press release from the association.

This comes especially at a time when hundreds of management seats are falling vacant since a few years. The exam will be a  conventional paper-pencil-based exam consisting of 120 multiple choice questions, divided into 4 sections.

The registration could be done online as well as offline. Candidates can register on official KMAT website www.kmatindia.com.
