When one would think about ‘Coringa’, the restaurant, it usually follows with a ‘sigh’ as it was located in Yelahanka. However, now the food lovers can let out a breath of fresh air as the restaurant has opened its new outlet in Koramangala.

Known for their exquisite vegetarian and meat dishes, the restaurant is located on the busy 100 Feet Road of Koramangala. The menu remains the same as their other outlet, along with the flavours they offer. The ambience is warm and cosy, perfect for one to enjoy the scrumptious dishes that’s inspired by the local village food in Andhra Pradesh.

The restaurant greets their guests with their signature ‘rasam’ of the day to refresh one’s palate and to check if the guest can take that level of spice. If it seems too less or too much of spice, the waiters take the feedback and bring out the rest of
the dishes to suit your taste buds.

While bitter gourd isn’t everyone’s favourite, the ‘Stuffed Kakarakaya’ filled with lentils might just change one’s mind about the vegetable.

The ‘Arbi Fry’— small cuts of colocasia that’s deep fried — is a great combination with a chilled drink and good company.

Fish items being one of their specialities, it’s recommended that one tries the ‘Grilled Pomfret’. The flavours are well-combined and cooked to perfection.

Another highlight of the dining experience is their ‘Dibba Rotti’ which is a fancy way of enjoying your ‘idli’ combination, except it’s nothing like the ‘idli’.

The lentil batter is infused with coriander, green chillies and cumin seeds, and then pan-fried and served with onion chutney and brown sugar. One plate of this is good to serve a table of four and leaves you stuffed after that.

But if one wants to try something else, do order their ‘Chicken Fry’, ‘Gutti Vankaya’, ‘Mutton Kothimiri Fry’ and ‘Grilled Prawns’. The restaurant also offers dishes like ‘Kodi roast biryani’, ‘Nuvvulu Pappu Rice’ and ‘Menthi Koora Paratha’.

Now to the main event that everyone looks forward to — the dessert section. It’s highly recommended that one tries the ‘Poota Rekulu’ — a very special preparation done in the coastal region of Andhra Pradesh. It’s made with layered sheets of rice and sugar, served with sweetened grated coconut and literally melts in your mouth.

Overall, the experience at ‘Coringa’ results in a dining experience that everyone would enjoy — from the signature ‘rasam’ to the desserts. They also have an open bar with some interesting choice of drinks to pair with the food.

‘Coringa’ is located at 2, 2nd Floor, 100 Feet Road, Above Enigma, Koramangala 5th Block.
