JOIN USMinister of Small Scale Industries Satish Jarkiholi has ruled out change of leadership in the state.
“There is no question of change in leadership. Siddaramaiah will complete his five-year term,” he told reporters after a meeting of small-scale industrialists here on Monday. “We have all fought for nearly 20 years for Siddaramaiah to become the chief minister. He became the chief minister with the support of all MLAs.”
Siddaramaiah was running the government efficiently and had taken all communities along, he felt. “It is the personal opinion of Home Minister G Parameshwara and other ministers that a dalit should become the chief minister. There is no need to take it seriously as the decision of the high command is final,” he stated. Jarkiholi, however, said a demand had been made to the chief minister to make a person from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) a minister during the Cabinet reshuffle.
