Conform to NGT order on building plan: BBMP

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike administration has directed its Town Planning section to sanction building plans in accordance with the National Green Tribunal (NGT) order redefining the buffer zones of the lakes and their rajakaluves (feeder canals).

Special Commissioner (Planning) Dr J Ravishankar said in his May 5 office note that henceforth the Town Planning section should give building plan approvals only after a detailed examination of the project that conform with the order passed by the NGT.

“Sanction the building plans only if all the guidelines laid by the NGT are followed,” he order said.
