47 NLSIU students hired by top law firms

As many as 47 of the 66 final year students from the flagship BA LLB course of the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) have been placed.

Top law firm, Khaitan and Co was the highest recruiter and made seven offers while Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and AZB & Partners recruited six students each. The third highest recruiter was Luthra & Luthra with five students.

Trilegal and Amarchand Mangaldas made four offers each. Samvad Partners hired two students. S & R Associates, Agram Legal Consultants and BFS Legal made one offer each.

As many as four students got offers from top London-based law firms. While Herbert Smith Freehills offered overseas postings to two students, Allen & Overy and Linklaters recruited one student each.

As many as three students got offers from banks. ICICI Bank made two offer while another student got an offer from Deutsche Bank. One student has been offered a LAMP Fellowship “Around 10 students opted to study further while some will be preparing for their civil service exams,” Vishak Ranjit, member of the final year student's recruitment coordination committee told Deccan Herald.
