Two youths rape 50-yr-old in Hulimavu

A 50-year-old woman was gangraped by two youths in Hulimavu on Friday evening. According to the police, the victim is working as a domestic help and resides in Hulimavu along with her family. She was raped by Satish, 25, a carpenter and his friend whose identity has not been disclosed by the police. Satish was arrested by the police and the search is on to nab the other accused.

The police said that on Friday evening, the victim was returning home after finishing work. The suspects asked her to accompany them for some snacks. They took her to an isolated place, raped her and fled. The victim returned home and told her husband about the incident, said the police.

The couple approached the Hulimavu police and lodged a complaint, based on which Satish was arrested. During interrogation, the suspect claimed that the act was consensual, police said. All of them had consumed liquor before indulging in the act.

She went home and her husband was furious as she came home late. He also found that she had consumed liquor.

So, the woman told her husband that she was raped, the suspect said. A senior police officer said, “The entire case seems to be suspicious. The victim and the suspects were known to each other for a long time and were residing in the same locality. They are being questioned.” The Hulimavu police have registered a case and investigation is on.
