Paryaya Pejavara mutt seer Vishwesha Theertha Swami has warned that the proposed stir by the police personnel will push the people into trouble.

“The policemen, who have the responsibility of protection of law and order in the state, should withdraw their strike, in public interest. The government, in turn, should respond to the demands by the police,” said the seer and stated he was confident of both parties listening to his suggestion.

Shiroor mutt seer Lakshmivara Theertha Swami too, said that the chief minister should take immediate steps to fulfil the demands of the policemen, who have been striving day and night to maintain the law and order.

“Karnataka Police are known for their honesty and duty consciousness. They have been facing many problems. They are not getting the facilities they are eligible to receive. Hence, they have decided to conduct a stir. Normal life will be affected if they conduct the strike. Hence, the government has to fulfil their demands, Or else, the Shiroor mutt will support the stir by police,” Lakshmivara Theertha Swami stated in a press release.
