Talking about it, Tamannaah says, “This is my first attempt at learning horse riding, so initially it took me a little time to connect with the horse and catch his rhythm and to learn how to control him, but once I started getting that, it became a lot of fun. Apart from horse riding I am also doing a lot of sword fighting and action scenes for a sequence in ‘Baahubali’, which I am definitely looking forward to.”

Playing son to Sridevi

Bollywood actor Abhimanyu Singh will be soon seen playing main antagonist in Boney Kapoor’s ‘Mom’ along with the charismatic Sridevi.

The actor, known for his meaty portrayals of various characters in films like ‘Gulal’, ‘Ramleela’, ‘Jazbaa’ and recently, in ‘Global Baba’, has always held a huge fascination for Sridevi and holds her in very high regard.

“Sridevi is a fabulous actor and a wonderful human being. We just finished a schedule in Georgia shooting under very difficult situation. It was minus 7 degrees there and the sunset would happen at 8.30 pm. The chilling cold with snow covered land and surroundings made the shoot extremely difficult and challenging. But her concern
for the entire team made it easier. She would tell me to keep changing the socks every half an hour so I don’t catch cold. I think Boneyji and Sridevi are very large hearted people. Working with Sridevi ma’am is a dream come true, she is an institute and powerhouse performer.

She has been my favourite actor from college days and today I get to share screen space with her,” said Abhimanyu. The 37-year-old, who made his Bollywood debut in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Aks’, is highly praised for his role in ‘Gulal’ and ‘Rameela’.

Allaying rumours on ‘Shorgul’

Shorgul’, which is set to release in theatres on June 24, has nothing to do with the upcoming assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh. Dialogue writer and actor Shashie Verma has came forward and has very categorically added that the timing of the movie is not politically motivated.

“It is purely a coincidence, we have shot this film last summer and thought of releasing in November. The release however, was delayed due to post production reasons. The movie is an honest effort to carry a much-needed message of humanity towards the society with a good content,” Shashie said.

The movie revolves around the killing in Dadri which shook the national conscience. With elections due in the state next year, the timing of the release has stirred a small controversy.

Produced by Vijay Singh, the movie features actors Jimmy Shergill and Ashutosh Rana. Jimmy will be seen playing the role of a politician while the lyrics
are by Congress leader
Kapil Sibal.
